painting is not a quick job

It’s been one of those long weeks. The kind that start with excitement and ends with...excitement...only now I’m tired. 

Who decides less than two weeks until Christmas to start projects? This lady right here. 

My girls decided to change rooms so, my husband and I thought, “Hey, let’s tear up the icky carpet and put down vinyl wood planks.”

That’s what we did and then I had a stroke of brilliance and thought, “Oh, and since the carpet is pulled up I’ll just paint real quick.”

Did you know that “paint real quick” is not so quick? I’ll admit it was pretty fast because I did the room in one day and by myself.

But boy, did I feel. Goodness gracious. I had muscles hurting I didn’t know I had. Two days later and I’ve still got parts aching.

I think it’s because I know the process will repeat itself once the new floor is in and dried enough we can get my youngest daughter’s things into her “new” room.

Ever start a project and get halfway through and wonder what on earth you were thinking? Lol ​
