First, a warning.
This book is unlike all my other books. It is dripping with religious themes, and if that isn't your cuppa, then this book is not for you.

It is not a light and fluffy read either. So...with the warning out of the way...

This book is super close to my heart. Many of the things that happened to Lilly happened to me. Not all of it, and not the circumstance that is the catalyst for Lilly's forced stay in her hometown.

I know for certain I'm getting old because at one point in time, I could recall if it was the second or third book I wrote in 2016. Nine years later, I'm just glad I remember why I went into the kitchen. Or anything else for that matter.

I was hurting when I wrote this book, and it's the product of processing everything that was going on in my life at the time. Writing is typically how I converse with God. It puts on paper the things going on in my mind and what I perceive as answers (sometimes.)

Her Beastly Billionaire Rock Star is a mashup of Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.

Charlotte and Malakai really made a great team. I thought they so perfectly paired because he was gruff and grumpy, and she was light and happy (despite all the things that had happened to her.)

I loved Malakai's character arc too. He grew so much that he was a different person by the end of the book--a better person.

“It covers my torso.”
“Is it the only one?”
Shaking my head, I replied, “Nyet. I have several more, but those are for me.”
I stood and pulled off my Henly T-shirt.
Thea’s eyes roamed over my chest before she rose to her feet. Goosebumps lined her arms as a light frosty breeze blew over the terrace. When I reached for her, she ducked and circled behind me. Silence lingered, stretching to an almost uncomfortable degree before she finally asked, “What does it say?”
“Family, honor, loyalty, and trust.”
I nearly jumped as her fingers ghosted across my back in a slow, sweeping motion. “I like that.”
“Do you have any?” I quickly added, “Tattoos?”
“No. I thought about getting one, but I could never settle on a design.”
As the last word left her lips, she turned to face me, her gaze sweeping over my arms. She slid her hand down the length of them. “I had no idea you had full sleeves until tonight.” Her eyes met mine.
What struck me were the tealights reflecting in them like stars.
“Do you disapprove?”
Shaking her head, she smiled. “On the contrary, I heartily approve. I’ve always thought a man with tattoos is sexy.”
“But none for yourself.”
“Yet. Maybe one day I will.”
I stepped closer, invading her personal space. “I’d hate to see this incredibly soft, perfect skin marred by anything.”
She caught her bottom lip between her teeth. “What if I was marking myself for someone?”
A low growl rumbled in my throat. I could picture her branded with my name. Mine.
Hooking a finger beneath the hem of her shirt, I tugged her flush against me. “I have an excellent suggestion on who that could be.”"

I’ve seen a few authors post these and I’d actually debated on whether to post one or not. The last image has my plans for 2025.

Honestly, I’m just happy I survived 2024. It was a hard year. Putting it out into the world any sort of plans for the coming year scares me a little.

Why? Because I wanted to publish three times the number of books I published this year. That was my goal the beginning of 2024. It didn’t happen, obviously.

But I’m stepping out in hope that I publish at least four books this year plus more.
