Marrying the Cowby
Fake Marriage Romance, #1
How are you? Did September zip by like you were standing still? You too? Whew. I'm not the only one. Also, was the first day of fall almost a hundred degrees? It was here. 99, to be exact. That didn't feel like fall at all.
Okay, I'm about to share something that makes me feel weird. I started Noom on Sunday. Have you heard of it? I've tried it in the past, but lost momentum and eventually stopped it all together. I'm trying again. That's good, right? If at first you don't succeed...you know the rest. I figure trying is something. Plus, out of all the things I've tried, it seems the most reasonable. Will I succeed? No clue. I don't have the highest of hopes, but we'll see how it goes.
Now on to Good Grief, Bree. I'm starting the Fake Marriage series, and the first book is Marrying the Cowboy.
I wrote this one right after finishing Her Stranded Billionaire Mix-Up. The first few lines popped into my head and I ran with it. Grace Maddox is one of my most favorite characters.
Her spunk was infectious to me. Zero confidence in herself, but boy was she loyal. She would stand up for being too, especially Jackson. She'd tear into his ex in a heartbeat.
And Jackson. That man. I don't know what it was about him, but he was a swoon-worthy man to me.
Jackson was a little broken. He'd lost his fire and Grace helped him find it. In return, he taught her to be less critical of herself. They complimented each other, too. Plus, Grace was such a smart mouth. Oh, I love her. But we've learned I love those types of characters, spunk and sass.
Hannah was a jerk, but I also wanted her character to grow by the end of the book too. That she wanted more for herself. To be a better person. I've often toyed with writing a story for her.
Actually, I've thought about a series where some of my more memorable side characters found redemption. What do you all think? Hannah getting her own story? What other side characters do you think could fit in there? I know some are pretty hated, but maybe there's a second chance for some of them?
I don't know. We'll see. I'm currently 10k into Stephanie Fredericks's story and that will wrap up the Caprock Canyon Series. I know, I still have Walker, but he'll follow shortly after Stephanie. I will get his story done; I promise.
All right, I've promised my girls a treat tonight and they're waiting on me. You all have a great weekend, and I'll see you next week!
