Marrying the Protector
Fake Marriage Romance, #3
Ya'll.
Thanksgiving is in a week. I feel like I sassed my momma and she slapped me into next week.
My house is a wreck, and I'll have people coming over. Which means I need to clean. Which means I need to get Walker done.
This whole month just poofed.
Not cool, November. Not cool.
This week's Good grief, Bree will have to be short and sweet. I am so close on Walker. Like, if the words flow, it'll be done by the weekend. I could potentially have it out before the end of the year.
Okay, so Marrying the Protector.
I have a type. Massive guy, quiet, unassuming, and full of surprises. Bring in Jake Maverick (His name is Jacobi Randolph Maverick) Yes, I know. That last name, but I have a reason. I was seeing a lot of James Garner stuff pop up, and well, Maverick. I love James Garner.
Back to Jake. I love him. I can't tell you how many times I've read this book. It was my first foray into romantic suspense, and it could have been way more exciting. I'd never written anything with any sort of suspense up to that point, and this was new to me.
I still love it. I love Lexi and how spicy she is. I love her father. I love the banter between Lexi and Jake.
I love it.
The one complaint I remember most clearly is the last fight scene. (I won't spoil it in case you haven't read it.) Let's just say I used every Bruce Willis movie ever made.
Aside from that, which, in part, I agree. But I still enjoyed every bit of that book.
If you haven't read it, or you've wanted to buy it, you can get it free today through Monday. I hope you love it as much as I do.
All right, I'm calling it a newsletter. I've got a week. A WEEK!
You all have a great weekend, and I'll see you next week.
XOXOXO,
Bree
