Gunner
Army Ranger Romance, #3
Now, onto Good Grief, Bree. My biggest complaint—even from my editor—was that Sophia didn't kiss any of the other guys. I've written two stories with this trope, and each time, I promise myself I'll have my main character kiss the other guys.
A side note: I've never watched a Bachelor/Bachelorette television show. I got all my material from articles because I can't watch it. And this is just me. I'm not judging anyone else who watches these shows. Not at all. Not a bit. People like what they like, and I'm sure I like things other people aren't particularly fond of.
Ya'll, I can't do it. I just can't. How can someone look another person in the face and tell them they have feelings for them and then turn around and lay the smooch down on someone else? It bothers me and makes those feelings seem shallow. I know, I know, dating is different now. And it's my issue.
Which is why I've decided that I can't write that trope. It bothers me, and when that trope is advertised, the assumption is that the gal will kiss all the guys. Duh. It's a dating show. It means I'm not living up to reader expectations either. Another reason I won't write that trope anymore. I don't want to disappoint anyone.

I still love the story and the characters, even if it doesn't meet the expectations. Gunner is a darling man, and I think he and Sophia were perfect for each other. He wanted to be devoted to someone, and Sophia wanted someone to make her feel special.
They're the older couple, holding hands, walking down the sidewalk. I can see them being like Carl and Ellie from UP. I think if I get a good idea, I may right a second epilogue for them. We'll see. I don't want to make a promise I can't keep.
Okay, this is long, and I'd hoped to have another audiobook up this week, but alas, I don't.
All right, I'll stop and let you wall get to enjoying your weekend. I'll see you next week!
XOXOXO,
Bree
