Older and wiser

Am I the only looking at the calendar and thinking this year has gone by so fast? One minute it was January 1st, and the next, almost May. How did it happen? 

When I was a little girl, my mom always said as I got older, time would get faster. At the time, my ten-year-old self was looking at her like she was nuts. Now, I'm finding she was so right. I lost my mom nearly twenty-years ago. Sometimes, it makes me sad because I want to call her and tell her she was right. Well, about more things than time. I'm in my forties, and I've noticed the older I get, the wiser she was.
